Sancerre Blanc cuvée GC

Our "Cuvée G.C." is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested, for the most part, in “Le Grand Chemarin", one of the most famous vineyards in the village of Bué, as well as in neighbouring terroirs with identical agronomic characteristics. These stony, clay-limestone based soils known as "caillottes" cover slopes that enjoy south-eastern exposure. Wines from here are elegant and show great finesse.

The combination of this terroir and our winemaking techniques make for a very unique cuvée. It is fruity and intense on the nose and full, complex, and elegant on the palate.

This wine is a perfect sipping wine for any time of day, or as an aperitif. It is a perfect match for the bounty of the sea, including shellfish, crustaceans, and raw or cooked fish. It is also a fine match for white meats, poultry and veal as well as all types of cheese, especially goat’s cheeses. It may be cellared for 5 years, but we recommend enjoying it within three years to best appreciate its fruity freshness.
