Sancerre Rouge Grange Dimière

Our Pinot Noir vines are planted in the Sancerrois region’s three main soil types: flint, “terres blanches” and “caillottes”. It is the diversity of these soils that makes our red Sancerre unique.

Most of our red Sancerre made from Pinot Noir is vinified and sold under the name “La Grange Dîmière” which refers to one of Bué’s ancient tithe barns. Our ancestors used it for making their wine and today it remains the oldest part of our winery.

20 to 30% of this red Sancerre cuvée is aged in oak barrels for one year. The wine remains fresh and fruity while boasting elegance and complexity.
It shows great finesse, with its aromas of red berries echoed on the palate, underscored by a touch of spice. The tannins are soft and elegant. This wine may be cellared for 5 years, or even longer for great vintages.
It is best served with deli meats, grilled or roasted red meats, white meats, veal and small game. It is the ideal wine to serve throughout an entire meal.
